“Factory Reflections” is an immersion into integrated design that celebrates innovation, craftsmanship, and an iconic architectural creation. At the heart of the creative fervor of 2024 Milano Design Week, the “Factory Reflections” exhibition emerges as an oasis of reflection in the landscape of contemporary design.
Curated by Giò Forma together with Sice Previt, this exhibition combines craftsmanship with industrial innovation, offering an immersive journey into the world of integrated design. The stage for this exploration is the Sice Previt factory, a company known since 1961 for its mastery in luxury construction and furnishings. Located on the outskirts of Milan, in Segrate, the factory becomes the perfect place to celebrate the synergy between past and future in the world of design.
The “Factory Reflection” exhibition is a unique opportunity to explore the creations of Sice Previt’s in-house laboratory, SP_Lab, where furniture of unprecedented design comes to life, true masterpieces of ingenuity and creativity.
The second focal point of the exhibition is the “Maison au Bord de l’Eau”, an iconic creation by modernist architect Charlotte Perriand. Here, in an exclusive collaboration with the Perriand Archive, Sice Previt brought to life in 2013 the only existing specimen of this extraordinary work. In addition to being a shining example of design that integrates furniture, architecture, and environment, it is the perfect final link for the common thread of this extraordinary exhibition: the transparency of water, which reflects and amplifies perspectives.
“Factory Reflections” is not just an exhibition of high-end furniture and architecture; it is also a moment of reflection on the nature of the factory itself and its creative capacity.
