The Beauty of Imaging exhibition.

Human Body Between Art and Science

Triennale, Milano (2017)

“The Beauty of Imaging” is an exhibition created to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the renowned pharmaceutical group Bracco, hosted at the Triennale in Milan. This exhibition stands out for its unique approach, in which Bracco’s diagnostic images, central to the company’s core business, are transformed into true works of art. These images, blending art and science, create an immersive experience that invites visitors to explore the extraordinary compositional harmony of the human body, viewed from within. The exhibition offers a journey rich in scientific innovations and notable figures, retracing important discoveries, both ancient and modern, with captivating visuals that reveal the profound secrets of life.

The human being is the protagonist of the journey, which takes place in an interactive space where visitors can discover how technology has evolved over time to save lives. One wall tells the story of imaging through time: from Democritus’s definition of the atom to the discovery of X-rays and the first contrast medium.

On the opposite side of the exhibition, dive deep into the four diagnostic technologies (X-rays, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine) with large interactive screens. A table in the center of the exhibit features technological supports to illustrate the importance and role of research in contrast media, bridging the present and future.
