A riveder le Stelle.
Un'inusuale prima in lockdown.
Teatro alla Scala - Milano - Italy (2020)
A Riveder le Stelle, an unusual première in lockdown, without an audience and broadcast live on TV, it showed us a decidedly new, silent but more intimate Teatro La Scala premiere, with the orchestra distributed to fill the void of the audience who attended in large numbers at home.
A Riveder le Stelle pays homage to Dante 700 years after his death, and at the same time it is a celebration in the name of an artistic pot pourri that combines lyricism, poetry, dance with ideas, passions, movements that cross the contemporary society.
A story about opera and dance, whose dramaturgy was conceived and transformed into a show with an iridescent and changing scenography with homages to the Italian auteur cinema of Fellini and Mastroianni combined with images that are reflected on a water floor.
At the center is Italy but also the great European composers. The night has start with extracts from works by Giuseppe Verdi and has continue with Gaetano Donizetti, Giacomo Puccini, Georges Bizet, Francesco Cilea, Jules Massenet, Richard Wagner and Gioachino Rossini.
Directed by Davide Livermore, scenes by Giò Forma.
